Love

Today is the day of love. Today is the 14.02.2020, Valentine’s Day. Some people find this day a (marketing) trap to sell overpriced chocolates and flowers. Agree. I also think it’s a perfect day to share some love.

A love letter from Ludwig van Beethoven to his Immortal Beloved in 1812:

“Even in bed my ideas yearn towards you, my Immortal Beloved, here and there joyfully, then again sadly, awaiting from Fate, whether it will listen to us. I can only live, either altogether with you or not at all.

What longing in tears for you — You — my Life — my All — farewell. Oh, go on loving me — never doubt the faithfullest heart

Of your beloved

L

Ever thine.
Ever mine.
Ever ours.”

A love letter from Ronald Reagan to Nancy Reagan:

“The important thing is I don’t want to be without you for the next 20 years, or 40, or however many there are. I’ve gotten very used to being happy and I love you very much indeed.”

My love is on a business trip in India. Very far away and still so close: I am missing you & thinking of you, every day! I hope for the next 70 years! xxx

A beautiful hand delivered surprise already yesterday. Thank you xxx.

I started this morning reading about love and love letters. To everybody, have a lovely day! Happy Valentine’s Day!

5 minutes after posting this blog I received another surprise xxx
