Back in Ireland. Just in time to enjoy this year’s Irish summer time: it only got dark at 11pmish and the sun was up again around 4am. That makes up to 19hours of sunlight every day!
Long sunny days with blue sky and nice temperatures around 28C degrees in the north (too hot for the Irish, perfect for me), followed by cooler 19C degrees and rain in the south. A beautiful breeze. Picknick in the garden. Sleeping through the nights (that’s all I wished for). Family. Friends. A funeral. Belfast. Titanic. County Cork. Irish breakfast. Dublin…
We really enjoyed all of it!

You just gotta love the Irish ☘️ For their humor. For how they handle funerals (handling a sad situation in a hilarious way which makes it easier & comfortable for everyone to deal with it). We had an unexpected funeral of hubbys 98 (!!!) year old granny who sadly passed away 3 days before we arrived.

Going south and arriving in county Cork. Back on the Wild Atlantic Way. The weather was definitely wild. Also that can be summer in Ireland ☔️

Of course, it’s raining! It wouldn’t be a proper Irish holiday without rain! Lol.

What do you do if it rains all day for 5 days?
a) all day spa
b) buy a rain coat
c) go for Jameson Whiskey tasting 🥃
d) stay in bed including room service

16C cloudy degrees, whale watching and rather feeling cold – we caught the sunburns of our life’s in our faces! WTF!

And all of a sudden the sun came out ☀️

Good Morning ☕️

Oh, and that’s Cork! Guess what, it rained cats & dogs! 🤣

Known as the “Rebel City” for its often-tumultuous part in uprisings and rebellions (usually against the English!), many in Cork will happily tell you to forget about Dublin because their city is the “real capital” of Ireland.

Well, the Irish are a fun pack of people to be around! They get the craic, they’re fearless and will do anything for a laugh, and especially because despite being just a bit drunk, they’re still on their best behaviour! Irish crowds are the best crowds. Love the Irish! ☘️

We had some craic and both looooved being back in Ireland 🇮🇪
Rain or shine, this country is stunning!
